Tube Sponge
Sponges are either solitary or live in colonies with other sponges, all attaching to rock or some solid
surface. There is great variety in the shape of sponges, from flat to tubular to a shapeless mass. In this
photograph one can note the unique form of tube sponges. Most
sponges ingest micro organisms and organic debris suspended in the water.
