Flatworms are marine, freshwater or terrestrial. They are either free living or parasitic. Found throughout the world they range in size from less than 1mm to 15m. Flatworms are divided into 3 classes. The first are turbellarians, which includes planaria, the second are trematodes, which includes flukes and the third are cestodes, which includes tapeworms.
