Class Scaphopoda
Tooth shells are also commonly known as tusk shells, elephants tusk and elephants tooth.
Each of these names refers to the unique shape of this marine mollusk. Tooth shells are elongated, bilaterally
symmetrical, having a tubular shell which is open at both ends. Within this gently curved, tubular shell,
the animal finds protection.
