How do Animals Grow?
All animals grow by a natural process.
This process results in an increase in size and substance as new matter is added into the living matter.
Of primary importance to the growth process is the consumption and metabolism of food. Unlike plants which produce energy through
photosynthesis animals must ingest carbohydrates and protiens in complex form as food. Excess food is stored as fat.
