Basket Star
Like the brittle star the basket star has long, spiny arms. Unlike the brittle star, with only 5 simple arms,
the basket star has many branched, coiling arms. This photograph features a basket star retrieved off the
coast of British Columbia. Most basket stars can be found in deep waters.
