Speckled Rattlesnake
The Speckled Rattlesnake ranges in size from 58 to 132cm. The markings on the skin vary considerably.
A soft sandy brown colour and pattern are most common, although crossbands and diamond-shaped blotches also
appear. In the heat of summer the Speckled Rattlesnake is nocturnal, otherwise this snake is
active during the day. This species found in Utah, Nevada and California feeds on Kargaroo rats, squirrels,
mice, birds and other reptiles.
