There are approximately 60 species of Pit Vipers, including the Sidewinder, Water Moccasins and the rattlesnakes. Pit Vipers compose a diverse group of snakes, some land-living, some tree-dwellers while others are water snakes. Pit Vipers can be found in North America, South America, Central America and Asia.
