Black-tailed Rattlesnake
With olive, yellow and grey colours the Black-tailed Rattlesnake is an inconspicuous reptile. The most
conspicuous feature of this snake is the black rattle on the tip of the tail. Found between
rocks in mountainous areas and treed canyons, this rattlesnake is unaggressive but poisonous. The Black-tailed
Rattlesnake is active primarily at night and on cooler days. It is believed to feed on small rodents
such as mice. This species ranges from Texas to Mexico.
