The Asp is a close relative of the Adder and these two snakes have many similarities. Like the Adder, the Asp has a venomous bite. However, the bite of the Asp is more lethal. Death by Asp bite is not uncommon, especially in the south of France where this snake is prominent. MORE! [BM] {FW}
