The Western Fence lizard ranges in size from 15cm to 24cm. This species can be recognized by its spiny scales in varying shades of olive, brown and black. There are wavy bars running the length of the back and on occasion the skin may be decorated by further striping. Along the sides of the belly there are blue patches, and males also have a distinct blue patch on the throat. MORE! [BM] {AS}
