Night Lizard
There are a several species of Night lizards. The largest, the Desert
Night lizard, reaches a length of 5cm. They have a common lizard shape and are covered with velvet
soft, speckled skin. These lizards are only found in America, predominantly in California. The Night
lizard is nocturnal, hunting by moonlight and resting in the protection of foliage
by day. In the winter Night lizards will frequently congregate in groups of up to 40 or more to preserve
heat.
