Mojave Fringe-toed Lizard
This fast moving, dune dweller is well camouflaged within its sandy habitat. The flattened body of the Mojave
Fringe-toed lizard is covered by soft, spotted gray to white scales. This pattern is further enhanced during
the breeding season when the adults have pink on their sides with light green on the belly. Having a very
small range this lizard can be found in the Mojave Desert in California and slightly further east into
Arizona.
