The Komodo Dragon lives exclusively on 4 very small Indonesian islands. The Komodo Dragon was unknown until the early 1900s when criminals were exiled to these islands. The reports by these undesirables were colourful and generally not believed. After WWI more investigation began and by 1923 their existence was confirmed.
