There are many different species of iguana found in the warm rainforests of Central and South America, North America, and the Galapagos Island. In general they have stout bodies, strong jaws, heavy tails and a crest running along the middle of the back. This is a photograph of a black iguana. Black iguanas can be found on the Galapagos.
