Stinkpot
The skinkpot, or musk turtle, can be found in slow moving waters from southern Ontario to Florida, as far west as Texas.These turtles range in size from approximately 7 cm to 14 cm. They have domed shells which are olive, grey or brown in colour. As can be seen in this photograph the colour of the shell is often hidden by a layer of algae growing upon the carapace. The stinkpot is also characterized by 2 light strips on the head. MORE! [BM] {AS}
