Soft-shelled Turtle 2
Soft-shelled turtles are predominantly aquatic. They spend a great amount of time underwater, stretching their necks so
their snouts are just above the waterline. They are fairly inactive yet are capable of sudden bursts of
energy. Some species of soft-shelled turtles are protected by Mohammedans as they have religious
significance.
