Soft-shelled Turtle

The soft-shelled turtle is found in America, Asia and in parts of Africa. They are unlike other turtles as they have leather skin covering their near circular backs as opposed to horned, hard plates. Their heads draw into a snout that shares some similarity with the snout of a pig. The jaws are covered by soft, fleshy lips. They are quite unattractive yet quite extraordinary. MORE! [BM] {FW}
