These North American turtles eat fish, snakes, frogs, ducklings and carrion. In the 1920's a murderer had sunk the bodies of his victims within a muddy lake and an insightful Indian offered his services to the police in the location of these missing bodies. Using a snapping turtle, attached to a long line, the authorities were led to each of the decomposing bodies (with a few bites missing thanks to Detective Turtle). [BM] {FW}
