Painted Turtle

The painted turtle is a common turtle in North America. It reaches lengths between 10 and 15 cm and is beautifully marked. The shell is dark green, while the skin on the limbs, neck and head are marked with yellow and red lines. The underside of the turtle is bright yellow. Painted turtles can be found in shallow ponds and slow moving, quiet waters. MORE! [BM] {FW}
