Hidden-necked Turtle 2
With a sideways bend of the head the eyes of this inquisitive
turtle peer out from a red and black face. It is believed that there are about 3 different species of hidden-
necked turtle. One species is found in South America, the other two in Africa. Like other turtles they
come to land to lay their eggs.
