Eastern Box turtles can be found in moist forested areas, wet meadows and floodplains. If conditions are hospitable this turtle will live its entire life in an area no larger then a football field. Eastern box turtles feed on slugs, worms, poisonous mushrooms and wild strawberries. They can be found from Maine south to Georgia. [BM] {AS}
