Eastern Box Turtle
The Eastern Box turtle is an attractive land turtle. The highly domed shell varies in colour and pattern. They range in size from approximately 10 cm to 22 cm. Some have lived well over 100 years! These turtles were once used by North American aboriginals to record family records. Fathers and then sons would carve family information on the shells of these living diaries. MORE! [BM] {AS}
