Swamp Eel
The swamp eel has a long, rounded body. Ranging in length from 1 to 5 ft., this fish has small scales
and tiny eyes when present. Swamp eels generally come to the surface to breath air, thus they can
commonly be found in stagnant water, low in oxygen. In dry seasons when their habitat may dry out
they bury in the mud and go into a kind of summer hibernation. MORE!
