Lancet Fish

The lancet is a frightening fish to behold. With long body, elongated dorsal, sail-like fin and great teeth this is a predator of the seas. The body of the lancet is so slender, that although this fish can reach lengths of 6 ft it rarely weighs more then 1 lb. The teeth are fang like, protruding from the lancets wide mouth. Of the three species of lancet fish, two are found in the Atlantic, the other found in the Pacific.
