Snake Mackerel

Sorry, No Picture! Snake mackerels are deep sea fish living in the Indian, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. They have long, slender bodies, reaching lengths of 5 ft. With tapering jaws and sharp, pointed teeth the snake mackerel feeds on other fish and will jump out of the water to catch a flying fish. Living in the depths of the ocean, the snake mackerel descends upwards to the surface and night and is often attracted to the lights of passing ships. [BM] {FW}
