Bonito

Bonito have sleek, solid bodies and reach lengths of 2 ft. They are blue in colour with dark horizontal stripes along the upper surface. These carnivorous fish change colour and pattern when making an attack. When the bonito has finished feeding and is content the colours return to normal. The bonito also changes colours when sexually excited. This fish can be found in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean. [BM] {FW}
