Mormyrid
The Mormyrid are very similar to the Nile fish as they have a weak electrical field used in sensing
their surroundings. Unlike the Nile fish, the mormyrid has a more common fish shape. Having a
pointed and compressed body, with extended anal and dorsal fins. Using these extended fins the
mormyrid swims by undulating its fins in a graceful motion. Like the Nile fish, the mormyrid is found
in the rivers of tropical West Africa.
