Shrimpfish
Shrimpfish are long and slender. Having a tube-like snout, much like that of the seahorse, the
shrimpfish can suck in tiny pieces of food. Having no teeth or stomach, the pieces must be minute for
the intestines to digest. To find camoflage this thin, elongated fish hangs upside down
between weeds. Shrimpfish are small reaching a
length no greater then 30 cm. They are found in coastal waters from East Africa to Hawaii.
