Cod are renowned for their voracious appetites. With sharp, pointed teeth and strong digestive acids the cod eats shell fish, crustaceans and other fish. It seems that the cod would eat almost anything. Within the stomach of various cod keys, a hare, a calf, a bound book and a candle have been found. This open mouthed cod is a flagtail rock cod.
