The front legs of the springhare are short and the hind legs are long. The springhare bounds, bipedally, like the kangaroo. The coat on the springhare is long, soft and sandy brown in colour. The springhare lives in a warren, which is often shared by a colony. Springhares are found in Africa south of the Sahara. [BM] {FW}
