Spiny Mouse
There are 5 species of spiny mouse. These rodents range in length from 2.5 to 5 inches, with a
brittle and easily broken tail of equal length. Like members of the mouse family, the snout is
pointed, the eyes are large and the ears are furless. The fur is quite rough and varies in colour from
a soft yellow to a dark reddish grey with white underparts. Spiny mice are generally found in
rocky terrain and feed primarily on seeds. MORE!
