Many pacas have appeared in travelling shows labelled "worlds largest rat". These large, short tailed rodents do in fact closely resemble rats. They are not, however, members of the rat family. This rodent can weight up to 25 lbs and measure 2.5 ft in length! They have a stocky build and strong limbs. The front feet have 4 toes and the hind feet have 5 toes, all matched with very strong claws used for digging burrows and gathering food. MORE! [BM] {FW}
