Lemmings are best known for their supposed 'suicidal' tendencies. Many accounts have been given of these small rodents running off the face of a cliff and drowning by the thousands in the turbulent sea. What happens in actuality is that lemmings have peak years of population. When the numbers grow too large the lemmings suffer from stress and run in any given direction, whether that be off a cliff or up a mountain. MORE! [BM] {FW}
