Flying Squirrel 2
The webbing which runs between the limbs is spread as
the squirrel leaps into the air, creating a nearly square parachute. Flying squirrels glide through the
air and are able to perform acrobatic stunts such as spiralling and turning sharp angles. These
nocturnal animals feed primarily on nuts, fruit, seeds, lichen and insects. They are hunted by owls,
which are able to detect the flying squirrel in the darkness of the night. MORE!
