Crested Porcupine
The crested porcupine differs from the tree porcupine in habit and location. The tree porcupine
readily climbs trees, whereas the crested porcupine lives on the ground never venturing to higher
ground. The tree porcupine is found in the western hemisphere; whereas the
crested porcupine is found in the eastern hemisphere. The crested porcupine is a
large rodent, reaching lengths of 28 inches, with an additional 5 inches of tail. MORE!
