HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Chipmunk 2

Chipmunks dig extensive burrows which they occupy independently for the span of their life. Feeding on nuts, fruit and small animals such as snails, birds and snakes, the chipmunk stores food away for the winter. Storing only nuts and cones, the chipmunk collects formidable caches, some containing a bushel (32 quarts) of nuts! Chipmunks do not hibernate but they do go into a state of torpor, waking throughout the winter to feed. [BM] {FW}
