Chinchilla 2
Chinchillas are approximately 10
inches in length and have almost furless ears and long, bushy tail. Very similar to rabbits the
chinchilla has large eyes and long whiskers. Chinchillas are found high in the Andes and eat what
vegetation they can find. Breeding during the winter season they rear a litter consisting of 5 to 6
young. These young are kept warm between the warm, soft fur of its parents.
