Bandicoots may reach 3 ft in length including the tail. When cornered the bandicoot is quite aggressive, hissing and spitting. These rodents are also said to emit an offensive pig-like odour. The bandicoot digs burrows underground and is known to store a large surplus of grain within its burrow. Impoverished Indian families will raid these burrows. The Bandicoot is found in India and Burma.
