Loris
There are 3 species of loris: the "slow loris", the "lesser slow loris" and the "slender loris". Closely
related to their relatives in Madagascar, the lemur, they have enlarged thumbs and a small index
finger. These very slow moving mammals have special blood vessels in their forearms which are
capable of restricting blood flow, allowing the loris to remain clamped to a branch for long periods
of time. This large eyed creature is a slow loris. MORE!
