Although this monkey has an inflatable air sac under its chin allowing it to create some 50 different calls, the douroucouli is able to move through the forest silently, unseen and unheard. The fur is short, thick and soft; coloured in grey or silver above and grey or brown on the underparts. Douroucouli are found in the rainforests of South America. [BM] {FW}
