Spiny Anteater
The spiny anteater is a relative of the famed duckbilled platypus. The spiny anteater reaches an
average length of approximately 21 inches from snout to tail. It has long, 2 inch spines covering
its back, sharp claws for digging, small ears and a long snout. Within the snout there is a sticky
tongue which can shot out 7 inches! This tongue is used to lick up termites, the staple of the
spiny anteaters diet. MORE!
