Duckbilled Platypus 2
The platypus is one of two Australian mammals which lays eggs. When
the young are born blind and naked the mother feeds them milk which is secreted from slits in her
abdomen. Platypus are found in freshwater lakes, rivers and
streams in eastern Australia.
