Marsupial Mole
The marsupial mole reaches 3.5 inches in length and is characterized by
long, silky fur, a short, stumpy tail, weak almost unnoticeable eyes
and very small holes for ears. These burrowing animals have strong claws and a
bony shield covers the nose. The pouched marsupial moles are highly active,
constantly searching for food. When the marsupial mole sleeps it is
sudden and the breathing is rapid. Marsupial moles are found in Australia.
