Bandicoot
There are 19 species of bandicoot. This rat-like animal is a marsupial. Marsupials bear their young when they are still in an embryonic stage, the
underdeveloped young crawls up the mothers fur and attaches to a teat, which is often inside a
pouch. The bandicoot is found primarily in Australia, New Guinea, and Tasmania.
