When danger threatens the hare is quick to escape, able to bound quickly with strong, long legs. Hares commonly fool their pursuers by twisting, turning and changing direction, often in mid air. During the breeding season, males almost seem insane, boxing, bounding and bullying in their pre-mating games. When mating season does arrive, mating is quite promiscuous. Hares are found throughout Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. [BM] {FW}
