Genet
There are 6 species of genets. The genet is found in the same family as the civet and mongoose.
This family lies between the weasel family and the cat family. The similarities to these families are
apparent in the genet. With a predominantly feline appearance the genet has a long tail and soft,
spotted brown fur. The head tapers to a more pointed muzzle than a domesticated cat; however, the
eyes and ears are similar. MORE!
