Binturong have proven difficult to study as they live in the treetops and are nocturnal creatures. Like the eyes of a cat, the eyes of the binturong narrow to slits when they are exposed to sunlight. In the old jungles the binturong feed primarily on fruit. Even the teeth of this carnivore are adapted to fruit eating. This unusual animal is found in China, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. [BM] {FW}
