Polar Bear
The polar bear is the solitary wanderer of the Arctic. This wanderer is one of the largest members
of the bear family reaching 7 to 8 feet in length, standing 5 feet at the shoulder and weighing an
average of 900 lb. Constantly in search of food polar bears are carried southward by the ice flow
in the spring and summer and then return north when the ice breaks up. MORE!
