Sea Otter 2
They are long bodied with a small head,
thick neck, webbed hind flippers and a thick, tapering tail. The molar teeth of the sea otter are flat,
specially adapted for crushing shells of shellfish and crabs. The sea otter is also unique with the
specialized ability of wielding a rock to break open shells. The sea otter is one of only half a dozen
animals with the inborn pattern of using a tool. The sea otter will float on its back while breaking
open the shell on its chest.MORE!
