Hyaena

There are 3 species of hyaena: the spotted hyaena, the brown hyaena and the striped hyaena. Spotted hyaenas are the largest and most common. They reach lengths of approximately 5 ft with a 13 inch tail. Standing 36 inches high at the shoulder, the hyaena is characterized by its extremely powerful jaws and large head. The shoulders of the hyaena are considerably higher than the hindquarters, even further exaggerating the heaviness of the head region.MORE! [BM] {FW}
